The festival shirt's logos were designed by Celtic Art Guy and the intricacy of the patterns were a big hit with everyone. Last year they were only available to staff and volunteers at 2018's festival. We have some available for purchase at $20.00 each. If you wanted one and didn't get one, now's your chance. Use the contact form below to email your request for your shirt. They are only available in mint green.
The first year’s festival was well received with over 1,000 in attendance and over 45,000 reached on Facebook. As we plan a bigger and better event for 2019, we anticipate an even larger crowd. The powers were with us this past year and we had excellent weather and a fantastic festival. Do we have the luck of the Irish for 2019? You'll have to attend to find out.
Join us for the second annual Dills Celtic Festival at the Historic Dills Tavern, 227 North Baltimore Street, Dillsburg, Pa. The festival is the combined effort of the Northern York Historical & Preservation Society and the Dillsburg Area Business Association. Proceeds from this event help support the DABA college scholarship fund and other community charities, and NYCHAPS historical and educational programs.
Admission is $10.00/person with children under 12 admitted free.
Celtic crafters, artisans, vendors of traditional Celtic foods and beverages, musicians, dancers, and more will be a part of the festival. This will be a celebratory event of the Celtic history and heritage of what is now Northern York County for the entire family! This is a family friendly event. Pets are not permitted except for service animals.
On behalf of the Northern York County Historical & Preservation Society (NYCHAPS) and the Dillsburg Area Business Association (DABA), welcome to the Dills Celtic Festival! Over 275 years ago, Scots-Irish settlers like the Dill family ancestors established homes, farms and businesses in areas west of the Susquehanna River as part of the new American Dream. This is the epicenter of Matthew Dill’s American Dream, a 500 acre property purchased in 1742 that would see the gradual development of an entire thriving community! In the spirit of these early Scots-Irish dreamers, today we celebrate their Celtic heritage and culture.
